Our Mission
Singletouch was founded in 1997 to solve the challenge of three significant business problems faced by a recently founded Contracting firm. The three problems were; (1) how can we handle data once as opposed to three and four times, (2) how can we ensure all costs were accurately captured and reported on invoices and finally (3) how can we provide real time reports to manage the day to day business of a Contractor."
The co founder of this Contracting firm was Marty Hilsenteger, who is now the founder and CEO of Singletouch. For the past ten years, Marty and his team at Singletouch have been developing state of the art software that emulates the actual flow of information within a contracting firm to remove duplication of data entry throughout the process.
The development has been led by Scott Sheppard who is the Chief Operating Officer of Singletouch. It is important to note that Singletouch did not build an accounting package. Instead, we automated the actual workflow from “the field to the office”. We then rely on any historical accounting package to manage the G/L, A/R and A/P.
Our Objective
Singletouch's number one objective was to develop workflow and software that would make any large Contracting firm more efficient and profitable. Our experience within the industry demonstrated to us that most Contractor firms handle the same data many, many times and can be very inefficient. The handling of data many times often led to more errors, greater fatigue on employees, frustration of customers, and most of all a significant time lag to getting paid for services rendered.
In a nutshell, many Contracting firms have significant risk in their organizations around leakage, accounts receivable, fatigued work force and manual errors. Our mission was to build a software solution that would manage these risks to a very low level for our customers.
Once complete our primary mission is to “make our customers employees happy”. If successful our clients, their vendors and their customers will also be happy and our customer will enjoy greater profits.
Singletouch delivers value to all levels of the organization
Executive
Executives will enjoy accurate and relevant reporting which provides performance analysis of individual business units, operation centers and project managers. Optimize overall business performance with real-time intelligence.
Controller
Singletouch is able to capture all critical information across the operation as business happens and will reduce the month-end accrual process from days to hours. Streamline the accrual process, capture cost and revenue in the smallest detail and integrate with your existing accounting system.
Project Manager
Singletouch has built a system which gives an organization real-time
productivity and forecasting information which enables you to manage your workforce and customer expectations as the project happens. Match costs, dollar for dollar, to revenue and effectively control projects.
Purchaser
Keeping a handle on committed costs and inventory levels is critical in the purchasing department. Coordinate procurement with the field by using web based purchase requisitions and a standard materials database. Eliminate the confusion about what is required by field personnel and gain total control of the procurement cycle and committed costs.
Foreman
Foremen are a critical component of the workforce and they would rather be working than recording the same piece of information 4 or 5 times in the field. By using mobile devices, foremen can capture time tickets, materials and manage work orders as they go, eliminating errors and saving significant time at the end of the day.
Fleet and Equipment Manager
Tools, Vehicles and Equipment may represent a significant portion of your assets which generate revenue in your organization. It is highly important to know who is responsible for each item and to track costs and location for each item. Singletouch provides the ability to control assets in the field and optimize revenue opportunities for tools, vehicles and equipment.
