Position Title: Vice President, Sales
Status: Exempt, Salaried
Reporting Relationship: CEO/President
Location: Goodyear, AZ
Position Summary:
Provide leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry. Generate revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. Manages and directs the sales function to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all activities related to the execution of sales plans and initiatives, conceptualizing and implementing market strategy and achieving annual sales targets.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Directs and oversees teams to meet/exceed revenue and sales goals, increase sales/market share and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales executives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Represents Company at tradeshows to promote products.
- Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotas and plans to determine effectiveness.
- Liaise with sales support to prepare sales report showing sales volume, potential sales and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Define and manage the monthly and annual sales objectives for all sales personnel.
- Directs, provides leadership, motivates, oversees activities, etc. of assigned staff and ensures compliance with departmental and company policies, procedures and standards of performance.
- Establish compensation plans for all sales personnel including salary structures, commission plans, sales contests and bonus plans in coordination with the President, CEO, CFO, VP of Sales & Marketing and Human Resources.
- Travel is required.
Other Duties:
- Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises Sales Executives and Sales Support Administrator and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Experience in formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Ability to manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Knowledge of public relations principles and practices. Knowledge of communication and public relation techniques. Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with Executives and Managers and to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Experienced leader with appropriate industry experience, preferably in the Commercial and/or Industrial Contracting Business.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
- Proven track record of target achievement.
Proficiency Qualifications:
- College Degree Required, Master's Degree preferred.
