Singletouch Corporation design builds integrated Microsoft.NET software solutions that address the most significant business challenges faced by contractors and other field based companies. These challenges include slow cash receipts, poor internal project reporting, inaccurate or incomplete invoicing and a lack of standardized job by job approach to their business.

The common problem that causes these challenges is multiple data entry and multiple control points. These challenges usually mean that field employees do not follow the same procedures on each job site. Multiple data entry is more costly than simply the pure cost of the data entry and accounting people. It also results in slow feedback from the field, poor quality invoicing and ultimately poor profit results. Multiple control points typically result in unbilled labor, unbilled material and general time and material loss.

Singletouch has been designed to emulate the operational flow of information from the “field in”. All of this information is being collected currently so it is not an incremental amount of work for the field personnel. In fact the solutions are designed to make their jobs more efficient in every scenario. The solutions we provide must make their jobs better than they are today. They must save time each day and provide excellent information to office staff for timely processing and zero re-work.

Our solutions must be better for all job functions in an organization in order to be rapidly deployed and accepted by our client’s workforce. In our experience, we always meet and exceed this test.

Below lists the current solutions we provide. Other solutions are under development and are expected to be released in 2010. All of the solutions listed can be fully integrated depending on your own field operational requirements.

 Singletouch Solutions working together Enter Data Once

 Singletouch Office

Singletouch Office is the backbone to the Singletouch suite of solutions. Both Singletouch Jobsite and Singletouch Mobile require it to operate. Singletouch Collector can also be integrated with it. The centralized solution is capable of handling construction and service jobs from any location in the world. This solution includes custom material catalogs and pricing for all your business employees, your customers and jobs. It also provides a full reporting package for all job functions in your organization.

The database was carefully designed to follow the flow of information for any contractor from the “field in”. The original design of the product was started in the field and then the information would flow into the main office for further control and processing. The key concept was to “enter data once”. It is important to note that Singletouch Office is not an accounting system. In fact, Singletouch office is designed to integrate with any accounting system that has general ledger, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable functionality.

Singletouch office does handle all other areas of a contracting operation. The solution handles multi -location inventory (including trucks), distribution operations and procurement. It will also handle project controls, customer cost control, time, material, equipment, tools and all personnel activities.

 Singletouch Jobsite

Singletouch Jobsite is a web based application that is used by field foreman to manage time and materials on each job site. It allows the foreman to enter time, allocate the time to a cost code, as well as requisition material for the next day and beyond. The solution is designed to provide excellence in communication between the field operations and the corporate office. It eliminates the need for anything hand written to be required from the job site. The data is entered once and then flows through the entire organization for further control and processing.

The key feature is that the field operations team is in full control of the job site and what is happening on a day to day basis. As they enter the daily information the balance of the organization is able to keep appraised of each job’s performance. This is a critical solution for the procurement team, project Managers and Superintendent’s responsible for each job.

Singletouch Jobsite requires Singletouch Office in order to function. This solution cannot be used on its own. Field personnel will enjoy the independence of managing their projects needs. They will also always enjoy finishing their day, as they will no longer be questioned by accounting staff what happened several days ago because they cannot read the field personnel’s hand writing.

 Singletouch Mobile

Singletouch Mobile is designed specifically for your service or maintenance personnel. This solution is fully independent and is operated in a disconnected mode. It operates in a disconnected mode because the service personnel will not always have full cellular coverage to ensure they can complete their onsite work. The service personnel can produce purchase orders and work orders with signatures on the fly. They can also manage their truck inventory and their own time entry as they progress through their work day. Once the service personnel have cell coverage or are connected to the web, all of their data collected throughout the day synchronizes with the main data base.

Singletouch Mobile requires Singletouch Office in order to function. This solution cannot be used on its own. Field personnel will enjoy the independence of managing their trucks, and finishing their day, as they will no longer be questioned by accounting staff as to what happened several days ago. This is often the case with manual processes because the office staff cannot read the field personnel’s hand writing, etc.


 Singletouch Collector

Singletouch Collector allows our customers to capture nearly any type of information in easy to use forms. An example of this would be a site walkaround with a client on a project. Singletouch Collector can be set up to capture locations, work type, material types, quantities, etc. This information can then be used to drive change orders, purchasing, etc. This solution can be used on its own, as a disconnected application, or can be fully integrated into any of our solutions.

We will usually recommend Singletouch Collector to our clients when they are simply capturing field data that will need to be re-keyed into another system. Often this solution replaces a clipboard and paper. Generally our clients want to replace the hand written process with an electronic process to assist them in being more efficient.

Singletouch Collector can be used by Contractors as well as any other type of field operation that requires simple or complex data collection to be performed to enhance internal data flow. This solution has demonstrated exceptional efficiency gains for all types of organizations.

Singletouch Collector can be fully integrated with our other solutions or can be operated as an independent solution.


 Singletouch Terminal

Singletouch Terminal is a touch screen application which enables your workforce, large or small, to quickly record their attendance onsite.  We have taken an old idea and made it new.  Singletouch Terminal can be deployed in the field, in your office or in a shop environment to easily capture the time worked by employees. 

When the employee arrives at work, they simply swipe an ID card through a reader and the system records the time they arrived.  The employee can also select a foreman or manager via the touch screen which makes data entry for that foreman or manager much easier.  At the end of the day, the employee swipes the ID card again to signal that they have left the site.

Singletouch Terminal makes life much easier for foreman or managers as well.  A foreman, for example, can login into Singletouch Office or Jobsite and view all of the employees who swiped in under himself and quickly enter time.  The system provides the swipe-in and swipe-out times for reference which makes creating a time ticket very easy.

Singletouch Terminal is an economical way of digitally capturing time onsite for employees and streamlines the time entry process be foreman or managers.
